Coraline 2024

Coraline is a young toddler whose parents recently relocated from Pontiac, Michigan to the Pink Palace Apartments, which are situated in a desolate and frigid area of the Northwest. She surveys the run-down home, bored and irritated with her new surroundings. Her parents have gone back to their workaholic habits, and she feels abandoned. She discovers a small door that is covered in wallpaper while exploring. She convinces her mother to open it, and when she does, she is met by a solid brick wall. Disappointed, Coraline imagines that night that her perfect world is just behind the wall. In this imagined world, she meets other individuals who are her parents, and they are not just more devoted and joyful but also more very willing to interact with her.
