I Saw the TV Glow 2024

It is difficult to talk about Glow without getting into the subtleties and undertones that are woven throughout the film’s extremely intricate storyline. So without going into too much detail about spoilers the movie is about Maddy and Owen two teens and their ten-year friendship that began in 1996 over a late-night TV show called The Pink Opaque. Owen is hardly present and exhibits poor social skills while Maddy is reclusive and appears to be against the system. They share a link with a lot of other kids from that generation particularly if they were fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Even still the background is a fascinating starting point for a movie honouring our shared love of 90s television that incorporates complex conceptual elements.
