Donny a struggling comedian moved to London with hopes of achieving his dreams. However as he approaches thirty he finds himself working in a pub with no prospects for a career. He is also living at his ex-girlfriend’s mother’s house. One day, Martha enters Donny’s club in tears, and he offers her a cup of tea. Little does he know this decision will lead to bitter regret. Initially, Donny feels sympathy and a strange attraction towards Martha who exudes confidence despite lacking money to pay for a Diet Coke. But as time goes on Martha becomes increasingly intrusive invading every aspect of Donny’s life and bombarding him with countless emails.
