Colt Seavers, a stunt double for well-known Hollywood actor Tom Ryder is the subject of the narrative. After a stunt goes awry Colt suffers serious injuries that end his career and force him to leave the film industry. About eighteen months later Jody Moreno a camera operator and Colt’s former girlfriend, is directing “Metalstorm” her first science fiction epic. Gail Meyer Colt’s producer approaches Colt about appearing in the film, which also features Tom. Gail also requests that Colt locate Tom, who has vanished without warning.
