There are movie stars and then there are movie stars—those rare few who draw. Audiences in without fail, and Clooney and Pitt are undoubtedly in that elite category. Their star power, which has been magnetic since the ’90s, hasn’t dimmed in the slightest. On their own they’re captivating; together their chemistry is simply electric. It’s easy to see why any studio executive would greenlight this project just by their names alone. Though Wolfs might feel like a casual, throwaway caper, it shines as a lighthearted, sharp, and thoroughly enjoyable action-comedy packed with charisma to spare. The plot centers on two fixers who are called in to clean up a mess involving a district attorney and a penthouse hotel room. After an unexpected encounter with a much younger man who seems very much dead, she reaches out to one of the fixers for help. What unfolds is a witty, fast-paced ride.
