Mother of the Bride suffers from playing all the cliched and well-known lines with not a shred of warmth or romance. This production is blatantly offensive and half-baked trying far too hard to be anything and failing miserably in the process. There’s no continuity between the subplots, and the overall tone of the movie is erratic. They do indeed exist but their lives are meaningless. It won’t matter if you forget about them or not. But the main narrative is just another unmemorable story. The actors chemistry which is in my opinion the most crucial component of a romantic comedy is lacking.
