The movie The Long Game depicts the inspiring true story of the San Felipe High School golf team the Mustangs. This Mexican American high school golf team triumphed over discrimination and segregation to claim victory in the 1957 Texas state high school golf championship. The film follows the journey of five high school students who served as caddies at a country club in Del Rio Texas during the 1950s: Joe Treviño Gene Vasquez Felipe Romero Mario Lomas and Lupe Felan.
